Marek graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno in 2019 and joined DRV as a junior lawyer shortly after. Already during his studies, he worked as a trainee at a law firm in Znojmo, where he focused mainly on civil law. During his internship at the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Znojmo, he also gained knowledge in the field of criminal law, and while studying he was also involved in translating legal texts from and into German.
Marek is a member of the real estate team at DRV. Together with other members of the team, he provides legal advice and comprehensive support to clients, especially in the area of large or small acquisitions (in the form of share and asset deals) primarily focused on real estate, but also in cases of "everyday" real estate transactions, lease agreements or construction projects. Comprehensive support includes not only structuring the transaction documentation itself, but above all also conducting thorough legal due diligence on acquisition targets with overlaps into other legal sectors.
In addition to the area of real estate, Marek also focuses on corporate law, including corporate transformations, private international law and contract law. In the latter area, Marek assists clients in cooperation with German attorneys working at DRV, even within the limits of German law.German- speaking clients seeking legal services in the field of Czech law can also meet with Marek.
Marek is fluent in German, English and Macedonian and has a passive knowledge of Serbo-Croatian.
